Emryn Lessie, MSW Student Intern

Emryn (they/them) is a neurodivergent, nonbinary social worker-in-training with seven years of experience in the human services field. They completed their undergraduate degree in Human Services at Southern New Hampshire University and are currently a first-year MSW student at Colby-Sawyer College.

Emryn’s professional background includes work in child protection as well as supporting survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence, experiences that strongly inform their trauma-informed approach to care. Emryn currently works with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), displaying a commitment to the profession that extends beyond being a student intern and into ongoing advocacy, ethics, and professional development.

As a neurodivergent, queer clinician, Emryn brings a deep respect for lived experience, autonomy, and collaboration into their work, and is especially passionate about creating therapeutic spaces where queer, trans, and neurodivergent clients feel safe and empowered.
